Small PA Design Business Outperforms the Big Guys

May 19th, 2008 Filed under: website design by admin

Now that is one nice looking trailer!

www.oz2designs.com is just a little design company located in a very small Pennsylvania town – East Berlin, Pa. They are what most people would describe as a Mom and Pop business. Yet, they accomplished something their competition has not; they created www.allprocustomtrailers.com, a fun and functional microsite designed in both Flash and CSS. “The fluid merge of Flash into CSS requires thought and planning,” states oz 2 designs llc Art Director Rick Brady. “Not everyone can do it. Most designers either build in Flash or in CSS.” Brady’s efforts to expand his design horizons have gone as far as integrating 3D animation in his designs.

“Performance is the true test,” explains oz2designs llc owner Catherine Lockey. Take a look at www.allprocustomtrailers.com. This site gives immediate gratification and immediate gratification is what people want.” It blends the customer’s desire for fun and functionality with our client’s desire to allow their customers to ‘trick out’ their trailer purchase from home.”

Before the creation of her new site, All Pro West webmaster Tammy Smith spent hours emailing accessories photos to her customers. Now she simply directs customers to her new micro-site and they see exactly what their accessory choices looks like. Those who have used the new trailer accessories site all agree it is a very enjoyable tool. Because it is pleasing to the eyes, customers enjoy playing with the options. The diamond plate flooring looks great but the so does the checkerboard flooring. The cabinets, the bike chock styles and the e-tracking styles create a feel all their own when combined with the other trailer accessories.

www.allprocustomtrailers.com is a perfect microsite because it strictly focuses on one area of business. This allows customers to stay focused on their purchase. Plus, it effectively link back to All Pro West’s already high ranked trailer sales site – a Google ranking benefit. Even better, after only one day online, www.allprocustomtrailers.com was immediately indexed by the search engines. “I work hard to create searchable sites” says oz 2 designs Art Director Rick Brady. “I research search trends daily and know how to creatively optimize Flash and CSS for search.”

Website Mission Accomplished!

This was a challenging project to organize and write because we are not autoCAD users nor are we architects. (True, we are not attorneys or metal finishers either. Still, the topic of dynamic autoCAD blocks was tough.) Because the topic was unusually foreign to me, I worked very hard establishing a clear understanding of my client, his demographic, and what he wanted to sell. This site, like all of our sites, had to be appealing – visually stimulating, easy to understand, and easy to navigate. We completed www.TheBlockFactory.com within our estimate and Mr. Everett even tipped us a few extra dollars for our efforts. Thanks Mark.

The Block Factory - Logo

January 17th, 2008 Filed under: Design by admin

This logo design is for Mark Everett of Everett Drafting Design llc.
This design is a mix of 3D modeling contracted and texture mapped
in Autodesk’s Maya software. After the modeling process was complete, the layers were rendered and exported into Adobe’s Photoshop and the blue print effect was added.
It is a special project developed from scratch.

We began with a brainstorming session with our client by phone. After deciding on the url name www.TheBlockFactory.com, the vision just sort of fell in place. - Rick Brady, Art Director, www.oz2designs.com
